Bolay - Pembroke Pines

On August 28th at around 6pm I had an awful experience at this Bolay location in Pembroke Pines and I’ve came here about 3 times now but this is my last. They are truly lacking customer service and sadly COMMON SENSE. I ordered a large bowl (like I always do) and I had my friend pick it up for me. When she got to my house (less than 5 minutes away) and I saw the bowl I was very confused because it was smaller than usual and I received no sauce (I got the same order the day before and it was in a much larger bowl w/ sauce on the side). I had my friend drive back to the location to fix my order w/ the receipt and everything because I refuse to pay for a large bowl and receive a regular sized bowl instead. When she went in the girl named Sophia kept on pressing the fact that everything in the bowl was correct (with a nasty attitude and acting very condescending) when the issue was the SIZE of the bowl. After going back and forth, and her somehow failing to see the most obvious issue, she finally took the bowl and brought it around the back with her other co workers (this was including Katherine the supposed “manager”) and I over heard them laughing and someone said something about us

If you’re looking for a fast, reliable, healthy, and tasty post-workout meal, this is the perfect place to go. Prices are comparable to Fresh Kitchen, Cava, Chipotle, etc. but portion sizes I’d say you get more for your money. They offer more variety to the options of bases, proteins, veggies, toppings and sauces than anywhere else, which means there is something everyone is bound to like. Sometimes the broccoli turns out a little burnt or the steak a little chewy, but we are human and these things happen when working in the kitchen. Presentation and freshness is up there, albeit the temperature was average. I can also appreciate the handwashing sink by the door so we can wipe our faces and hands off before we leave.

Customer service and food did not meet expectations. The chicken was cold and other items in the bowl were slightly warm like they had been out for a while. The server also confused the order twice. I had asked for a regular bowl with four items and she understood that I wanted four different bowls. When I clarified, she tried serving me a larger bowl which has more items.

Staff is always friendly and inviting. Food is always fresh. Huge plus that this is a gluten free kitchen, makes eating out with allergies enjoyable.
